Jallosh, derived from the Marathi word meaning ‘Celebration’, is the flagship annual event organized by Marathi Mandal Ireland. It brings together the vibrant Marathi community of Indian origin residing in Ireland to honor and celebrate their rich cultural roots.

Each year, Jallosh serves as a joyful platform to foster unity, cultural pride, and a sense of belonging through a variety of traditional and contemporary performances. It also opens its arms to the wider Irish and Indian communities, encouraging cultural exchange and appreciation of Marathi heritage.

This year, Jallosh 2025 takes on a special theme: ‘Celebration of Marathi Cinema and Theatre’. From the golden era of Marathi films to the powerful legacy of Marathi theatre, we pay tribute to the stories, music, and performances that have shaped Maharashtra’s cultural identity. Expect a vibrant showcase of skits, musical tributes, dance performances, and visual storytelling inspired by iconic works from Marathi stage and screen.

Adding to the excitement, we are thrilled to present ‘Vaishali Samant Live’ – a sensational concert by the renowned Marathi playback singer whose voice has captivated millions. Her electrifying performance promises to be a highlight of the evening, bringing the spirit of Marathi music to life on stage.

Jallosh aims to foster a sense of community and cultural pride among Marathi-speaking individuals by showcasing a variety of cultural performances and activities. The event also serves as a platform for cultural exchange, welcoming non-Marathi individuals to experience and appreciate Marathi traditions.

This year, alongside our traditional Ganeshotsav celebrations, we are introducing a special theme to honor and celebrate our state of Maharashtra. We will embrace a ‘Gramin’ style of celebration to express our love, respect, and gratitude for Maharashtra's villages, where many of us have deep-rooted connections. These villages, with their rich and vibrant culture, have shaped who we are today. It’s crucial that we acknowledge and pay tribute to our ancestral villages, ensuring they continue to support future generations while adapting to modern ways of living.
